Our Story: Tortas Ahogadas Las Originales
Tortas Ahogadas Las Originales was born in 2001 with the dream of bringing the authentic taste of Guadalajara across the border. Without much knowledge of how to run a business in the United States but with a deep passion for our roots, we set out to offer something new and different. Our mission has always been, and still is, to present the iconic Torta Ahogada, the most famous dish of Guadalajara, along with many other dishes that you can only find in the Pearl of the West. As our name suggests, “Originales”, since day one, we have worked tirelessly to maintain the authentic flavor of our land. Preserving that flavor throughout the years has been our priority, and it’s what has earned us the loyalty of our customers.
Over time, we decided to take our concept a step further, opening our locations in Newhall and Palmdale, where we introduced new experiences. In Newhall, we added the bar and grill concept with karaoke, offering not only delicious food but also a space for friends and family to enjoy in a lively, festive atmosphere.
Finally, our Palmdale location brought an even more innovative concept: an exquisite lounge that blends our traditional flavors with a modern, relaxing space, perfect for those looking to enjoy excellent food. We also offer a bar, a restaurant with live entertainment, karaoke, and, above all, you will always find the warmth and friendliness that define us in all our locations.
